Description

The E-350 is a popular choice for both the vanlife and overlanding community. Its a commercial icon synonymous with reliability, practicality, and longevity. Due to the sheer volume sold, OEM parts are affordable and readily available for the E-350, and it enjoys access to extensive aftermarket support. The latter means that this 2WD workhorse can be converted into a hardcore 4WD overland rig, as demonstrated by builds from Box Truck Travel, UJoint Offroad Colorado, and Ally and Lance. Cue todays 2014 Ford E-350 box truck camper, which features the desirable 5.4-liter V8 (38,000 miles) and a well-appointed camper conversion. We see a lot of 4WD E-350s that have been used and abused and are in desperate need of a full restoration and interior refurb, whereas this rig is exceptionally clean, with low mileage, and ready to live in (the interior is as brand new). In other words, its arguably cheaper to convert this rig to 4WD than to restore and camper convert an existing high-mileage 4WD E-350. Further still, the box body style provides welcomed additional space over the standard van and is an ideal vehicle for full time living. To this end, todays rig has everything required for four-season livability thanks to:

  • 300 amp-hours of lithium batteries
  • Starlink
  • a diesel heater
  • freshwater system
  • and so much more.

  • The E-350 is fitted with a 5.4-liter V8 motor that, in stock form, produces 255 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This van has not been converted to 4WD, but services are readily available from the likes of Quigley 4×4, U-Joint Offroad, and Quadvan.

Inside, the E-Series showcases a well-appointed cab with driver comforts that include:

  • Air-conditioning
  • Cruise control
  • Power steering, windows, and locks
  • Cupholders
  • Double din stereo with backup camera
  • Switch system controller for lighting
  • Captains chairs
  • USB and 12-volt power outlets

  • Distinguishing Features:

  • Lithium house batteries 300-amp-hours
  • 2,000-watt inverter
  • DC-DC charger with MPPT controller
  • 250 watts of solar
  • power outlets throughout
  • Diesel heater with auxiliary fuel tank
  • Maxxair air fan
  • Swing-out spare tire carrier
  • Freshwater system
  • Starlink and PeP link router antena for off-grid connectivity
  • Exterior shower
  • Rear garage
  • Propane cooktop with exterior propane locker
  • Refrigerator
  • 12-volt Microwave
  • Heat exchanger for hot water system with electric element
  • Dinette (could sleep another person)
  • Cab rack with storage boxes and lighting
  • Insulated walls with marine vinyl and closed cell foam padding
  • Custom CNC cut cabinets with cabinet-grade plywood

  • This 2014 Ford E-350 box truck camper is listed for $68,000 and is currently located in Prescott, Arizona.

From the Seller: "This is a super compact mobile office and home on wheels, built on a 2014 Ford E-350 mini box van with only 38,000 miles. It was about to be converted to 4WD for a trip to South America, but plans changed at the last minute. It has everything you need to live off the grid in a package that still fits in normal parking spots. Its comfortable to drive, and when you reach your destination, just hop in the back via the pass-through and get to sleep. People dont even realize youre in there. There are so many additional features that must be seen in person to appreciate."
