Description
2001 Prevost XLII, Thompson non-slide conversion. No damage.Detroit Diesel Series 60/Allison B500 transmission, PowerTech generator, Aqua-Hot, new alternator, new tires (less than 2,000 mi), spare tire, spare parts.
3 roof a/c units, 3 flatscreen TVs, full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave/convection, 2-burner stovetop, queen size bed.
Why is this price so low when compared to other 2001 Prevost motorhomes?
1. The original converter, Thompson, is no longer in business, so there is no direct support. However, the systems are the same, or similar to, those of the major Prevost converters and repairs are available at most larger motorhome service centers. Prevost Service Centers are located throughout the US and Canada.
2. The clear coat along the roof and rear cap has minor peeling, You don't see it if you don't look for it.
3. Air-operated pocket doors (2) require attention. Worked well until recently.
4. R/S windshield visor motor is inoperative. Prevost does not supply this item, but they say it is commonly available from motorhome service shops.
5. We want to sell it before winter.
Why are we selling?
1. My wife will not drive it - "too d*mn big".
2. I will be 75 years old soon, retired long-distance professional bus driver. I'm tired, as well as retired. I'm liking hotels more as I get older.
3. The 4 "defects" listed above, plus some minor cosmetics, are pretty easily addressed, but beyond my abilities at this point.
