Description

Beloved 2021 model, excellent condition. Used on some of our family's most treasured road trips out west and it was absolutely perfect for a family of 5 on trips lasting 2-4 weeks. We're changing our setup to facilitate more rafting trips, and are sad to say goodbye to this excellent rig.

Has been lovingly cared for and kept in covered storage when not in use. All components work beautifully. No leaks, ever.

Can be sold with or without the rooftop tent. The tent is configured so that the Mantis' rear hatch door can fully open with the tent extended.

I have towed it easily across mountain passes and up rutted-out forest roads without any difficulty using a Toyota Tacoma and a Kia Telluride.

Stays amazingly warm in winter conditions, dry in rain, and cool and breezy in the heat. The only time we ever considered turning the air conditioner on was in Zion and Monument Valley in June.

I upgraded to lithium ion batteries which keep us off-grid for about 4-5 days, really only running the water pump, lights in the evening, and the 12V Dometic fridge.

Sale includes:

  • 2 Lithium ion batteries
  • Rooftop tent (if desired; Yakima SkyRise HD 3, $2500 value)
  • Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch (already installed)
  • All original storage crates
  • Hoses, including quick-connect shower hose for exterior shower
  • 2 sets of keys
  • Electrical cables
  • Shower curtain
  • 8 ft external awning
  • Bungee cords + bungee nets.
  • Curt bluetooth trailer controller

  • Easy to cook for a family of 5 for days with available gear and food storage. Cassette toilet is very easy to use, has entirely reasonable capacity, and is - most importantly - odorless. My favorite thing about this rig is that even though we were in a trailer, we truly felt like we were actually CAMPING, not escaping to an indoor apartment. We felt like we were comfortable and geared, but still on a real camping trip. The sounds of rivers, birds, and breezes fill the trailer in a lovely way. Easy to last for days on boondock, free, BLM, or dispersed camping sites.

Incredibly sturdy - steel skeleton frame is thick and sturdy as can be. Nothing rattles or shakes - ever. Feels like a tank. High quality interior materials such that despite it being legitimately used on some epic camping trips, you can hardly tell it's ever been used.

No damage, no problems, wish I could keep it forever.
