Description

For sale here is unit #121 of the 237 German-built Westfalia James Cooks imported to the U.S. as the Airstream Sprinter Westfalia. It is a 2004 Dodge Sprinter Chassis with VIN WD5PD644245656987 and 2005 Airstream VIN 1B9C1WF205X400121. I am the original owner of this no-accident, no-smoking, pet-free, clean-title vehicle. There is no other camper available in the United States that offers this combination of:

  • Four-season capability (all tanks inside) and self-sufficiency for at least two days with a family of four; up to a week solo
  • Proper, comfortable beds for four people (no Tetris cushions, no pop-top)
  • Three-point seat belts for five occupants
  • 6' 4" tall wet bath and toilet
  • Three-room floor plan (seating/dining, kitchen, bath) with full-length "basement" underneath for skis
  • Ability to fit in regular parking spot (18.5 feet = same length as Chevrolet Suburban) for use as a daily driver
  • Upstairs bed that can be slept in with all the blinds open (ultimate stealth)
  • Reasonable fuel economy (20 mpg at 65 mph) and comfortable German seats for long journeys.
Unit #121 has been carefully cared for and has served us well both in the U.S. and during eight years in Germany. It is mechanically sound and has never left us stranded. This vehicle has many useful, tasteful upgrades described below and none of the tacky, non-OEM "repairs" afflicting many of these vehicles. On the other hand, it has been driven in four seasons all its life and is not a garage-kept creampuff.
