This Minnie Winnie model 22E is in SUPERB condition, inside and out. Never driven in the winter, always stored inside when not being used. It not only is in excellent condition for its age, it's better than that. The exterior was redone with a clearcoat finish, decals were replaced and/or painted so they look like new. It has 6 new (8,000 miles) Hankook tires, new AGM engine battery. The carpeted floor was replaced with laminated wood so it's easy to keep clean. The sofa and dinette upholstery was redone with marine grade vinyl. All 3 roof vents were replaced completely and new Maxxair covers installed. The cabinet pulls, door latch, bathroom faucet and shower faucet were replaced with oil rubbed bronze. We added Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar, front anti-sway bar and reflex steering stablizer. We also replaced the headlight capsules with halogen lights, bumper guides and a new electric step. The windshield had gravel pits so we replaced that too. We had new lined, pleated custom drapes made. The awning has also been replaced and only used twice.
The couch and dinette fold down for beds and the cabover bed is very spacious. There isn't a seperate bedroom.
It is built on a Ford E-350 chassis with a 6.8L Triton V/10. When we drove it home from California we averaged 11.0 mpg for the entire trip. Local shorter trips are more like 8 mpg. With the new suspension sway bars it handles very easily. The short wheel base allows turn arounds on a 2 lane road. The overall length is less than my Dodge pickup! You can park this one in your driveway. There are no leaks, it burns no oil and runs as it should. We had our mechanic change the fluids, align the suspension and check thoroughly for anything that needed attention.
It has an Onan 4000 generator with 420 hours. It starts up reliably every time.
We bought this unit to see if we liked using a mini home rather than our truck and 4 horse, gooseneck, living quarters trailer. We like it so well that we are ordering a new one the same size and selling our living quarters.
