Cushman & Wakefield is pleased to offer this well-established full service marina with a vacant 3.0 acre lot that could be developed. There is a pool, ship store, fuel dock, 110 ton lift, & ice cream store.
Georgetown Yacht Basin was originally constructed in 1949 and has been family owned and operated since. The Marina sits on 14.26 acres along the Sassafras River (fresh water) and enjoys deep water which has been the reason this is the premier marina in the Upper Chesapeake area.
The Marina includes fixed, floating and covered slips spread out over nine (9) existing docks. There are currently 206 slips with 24 of those covered. There are thirteen structures of various sizes and use that total 31,105 square feet. They include fuel dock, pool, ice cream shop, marine store, bathhouses; Marine Zoning permits these as well as other related functions.
Permits were issued to replace 3 docks that were destroyed in a storm several years ago. This would add 78 covered, deep water slips, which are in high demand. As the Marina is currently converting to municipal sewer, there is potential for residential development on a 3.16 acre waterfront site. A covered pavilion that can accommodate large outdoor gatherings along with abundant parking and a sandy beach compliment the scenic vistas.
