Description

The 2021 TAXA OUTDOORS MANTIS is a versatile and innovative travel trailer designed for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the great outdoors with comfort and convenience. Known for its rugged construction and off-grid capabilities, the MANTIS is equipped to tackle any adventure, from remote camping trips to cross-country road trips.

This MANTIS features a sleek and modern design, with a distinctive profile that sets it apart from traditional travel trailers. Its compact size makes it easy to tow (approx. 2900 lbs.) and store (fits in most standard garages), while still offering ample living space and storage options. The interior is thoughtfully laid out with a functional kitchen with two-burner stovetop, sink, a Truma refrigerator, an indoor (and outdoor) shower, a cassette toilet, a spacious dinette area that converts into a comfortable queen-size bed, and a couch which converts into two bunks. It also has a 20-gallon fresh water tank, a Truma water heater, a ducted propane heater, an air conditioner, dual propane tanks, 2 Thule rooftop storage rails, and an ARB awning. Also included is an ARB mesh tent which hooks directly to the awning for enclosed outdoor space. The back hatch opens completely and stays up with hydraulic struts, making for a great view from bed. The camper operates on a 110 standard outlet or 12 volt battery, and it has multiple USB ports throughout.

If you're reading this, you probably are familiar with Taxa products so I won't elaborate on the design and quality. We bought this unit new and have used it to take trips to Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, and of course, Texas state/national parks, and it has been flawless. The only issue we experienced was leaking propane hoses, which were just replaced with new commercial quality hoses and a new propane regulator. Everything works and it's ready to go. Tires are good and the full-size spare has not touched the ground. The battery holds a great charge which gets us by for 2-3 days, powering the refrigerator, heater and lights when off grid. The air conditioner works well with our Honda 2200 generator (not included) or of course, shore power.

We're selling because we decided to move to the mountains, which will greatly reduce our need for a camper. If you've been shopping for a Mantis, you'll know this is a great price for a great travel trailer!
