Description
2018 Airstream International Serenity 28, power awning, two televisions with DVD, four-speaker sound with subwoofer, electric/gas fridge, convection oven/microwave, gas range, electric/gas water heater, indoor shower, outside shower handle, 2 HVAC units, 2 deep-cycle batteries, electric hitch jack, 50A service connection, Equal-i-zer load-leveling hitch included. We pull it with a 2019 F-150 and it tows great. Everything works, we have used it as an on-site remote construction trailer as we are building our house in the Colorado mountains, so it has been occupied on occasional weekends about 10 times per year. Very low miles, probably less than 2000 road miles on the trailer. Construction is now complete and we no longer need the trailer.
Regarding the condition of the trailer, there are no maintenance issues. We have used the trailer as our housing unit on the weekends when we would visit during construction. The water pump works, the shower and all plumbing fixtures and toilet work, the water heater works on both electric and propane, the propane furnace works, both heat pumps work both heating and cooling, the televisions and dvd player work with great stereo speakers and subwoofer, the microwave convection oven works, the propane gas cooktop, the power awning and all lighting work. In short everything is in working order as of today. The batteries were replaced a couple of years ago but are probably due for another replacement. One propane tank is full and the other maybe 1/2 full. The trailer is winterized and the grey and black water tanks are empty.
Regarding any prior repairs, three years ago I clipped the back corner awning post when navigating through a narrow gate and had to have one leg of the power awning replaced by Windish RV in Denver, an Airstream certified repair shop. They did a great job and the awning works fine. In 2019 there was a recall on the water heater controller and I replaced the circuit board under warranty. Finally, I repaired a crack in the water pump strainer two years ago which caused the pump to pull in air and lose suction (no water leak). I ordered a new part and have it in the camper but the glue repair has held fast so I haven’t had to actually replace it yet.
