Description
SOLD…
4x4 Sprinter campervan is adventure ready! Has journeyed to incredible destinations, made many comfortable cross-country trips, and excels at boondocking.
Sprinter 4x4 2016 chassis with workhorse V6 diesel engine - regularly maintained & serviced by Mercedes dealers. Next scheduled service not due for 13,000 miles. 6 All-Terrain tires (also good on highways), brakes, struts & battery all just one year old. New engine belts. Drives & handles with ease.
Boondocking Ready: ERA 4x4 handles challenging off-road conditions with easy shifting. Two new AGM batteries for DC power; propane generator & furnace/water heater; ample freshwater & wastewater capacity; powered cooler and portable 100 watt solar panel. See the YouTube video link on exploring dirt roads! And check out @campervanexplorer on YouTube Shorts at https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SwsNVZScJw0
ERA 70A floorplan with comfy twin beds (or king) & wet bath. Huge interior storage capacity and pullout "garage" rear drawer. Full-size sliding screens for both the sliding door & rear doors - enjoy the outdoor views and breezes with no bugs! Large tinted vent windows let in light & air but keep out rain.
Exterior: Some cosmetic exterior wear and tear reflects the wild places traveled - a few dings, dents & scratches; bent exhaust pipe courtesy of hidden rock at the Arctic Ocean.
Interior: Overall good interior condition with a couple of Velcro fixes; travel stickers decorate inside closet door.
Equipment:
Generator, microwave, air conditioner, Truma Combi furnace/hot water heater, water pump, vent fan, stereo, factory infotainment center/GPS, and plumbing & electrical systems all good.
No TV - paid Winnebago factory order $100 to NOT install TVs!
One burner on the 2-burner propane stove has a weak flame, but will warm leftovers; other burner works fine; occasionally the stove wants to be lit manually vs. the electronic spark.
Electric awning doesn't work - not serviced after its second breakdown 6 years ago. Backup camera operates sporadically.
Propane power for refrigerator broke down in 2022 on the Dempster Highway in the Yukon; could not be repaired by two shops - one in Canada and one back home. Replaced fridge with a AC/DC powered cooler and quickly-rechargeable EcoFlow power station which keeps it cold for 2 to 3 days. Has worked out fine on 4 cross-country trips.
Sprinter battery has a small phantom drain when vehicle is not in use; the Sprinter manual battery disconnect switch does the trick when the van is not going to be driven for several days.
Why selling: My wife no longer wants to go exploring, so I'm now traveling solo and getting a new campervan custom made in 2025.
Priced to sell at $62,900 - below fair market value for this hardy, comfortable 4x4.
