Description
We are selling our 2015 Winnebago Vista 35B Class A motorhome because our grandchildren have mostly become teenagers and no longer have the time for the many cross-country trips we have taken with them. We bought this RV new in 2016 and are the only owners. It has been well maintained.
Interior
3 slideouts, upgraded interior features (Benchmark dinette, Ultraleather sofa/sleeper, electric StudioLoft Bed, etc.)
Large oven, range, refrigerator (4 doors, large freezer, icemaker, runs on propane or AC), convection microwave, and plenty of storage and counter space.
Dinette table/bed and Couch/bed. There are large cupboards above the table and couch.
Flat-screen 42-inch TV
2 bunk beds each with a DVD player (great for kids and the main reason we bought this model)
Electric pulldown bed over the driver and front passenger seats
Master bedroom: queen-sized bed, 28-inch TV, full length mirror, large shower, toilet, and sink. Ample storage space in the wardrobe closet, cupboards over the bed, and under the bed.
Hallway bathroom: toilet, sink, and storage. Accessible while moving (very useful when travelling with a lot of kids)
Separate holding tanks for the bathrooms, two dump stations, each with an exterior washing system
AM/FM/Sirius XM/DVD, side/backup camera
1000-Watt inverter
Front seats can be turned to face the interior
Drivers seat has 6 way power adjustments
We have travelled cross country with four adults and five kids and had plenty of room for everyone.
Engine and Transmission
Ford Triton V-10 gasoline engine and F53 chassis - zero engine problems.
Transmission also very reliable. With the Tow/Haul setting and cruise control, we can go down very steep downgrades without using the brakes. We have gone up 11,000 foot passes without difficulty. I have never seen the engine temperature in any other position than normal no matter what the driving conditions (including two years ago when it was very hot in the middle of the country).
Heating and Cooling
2 rooftop air conditioners, dash air conditioner
Electric and propane heating
Exterior
4 bays on the passenger side, 2 on the driver side. The two front bays on the passenger side connect to the two bays on the driver side for long items.
Electric awning
Automatic hydraulic leveling jacks
Trailer hitch
Propane outlet for a barbecue
Battery kill switch to stop battery drain when stored (I believe it is the Sirius XM radio that creates the drain).
Generator
Cummins Onan RV QC 5500 gasoline generator, regularly professionally serviced. It operates on gasoline, not propane.
Tires
We replaced all six tires in 2023 with new Michelin 235/80R22.5 XRV tires. The mileage was 66,000, so the tires now have 7,500 miles on them (we got 66,000 on the first set of Michelins). The new tires were balanced and aligned.
Repairs
2019 - New springs and shocks, and added chassis airbags to stabilize the ride when heavily loaded and to allow us to tailor the ride to the load. The airbags are inflated via valves at the rear of the RV.
2021 - Replaced the front windshield after rocks from another vehicle caused a crack.
2023 - RV color-buffed and new decals applied. The paint and decals look very good. The roof was inspected, and no problems were found.
2024- Transmission leak, transmission serviced at a Ford truck service location, pan gasket and fluid replaced, radiator coolant replaced, brake system flushed, steering and suspension components inspected, new shock absorbers and sway bar bushings installed, fittings greased.
2024 - replaced all three batteries.
Other Information
A CarFax report is available.
There was one accident that caused superficial damage. A car on the freeway moved into my lane and hit the driver's side of the RV. I had to replace several bay doors. There was no significant damage.
