We are the 2nd owners of this very well cared for RV. First owners had it from 2010 to 2018, and we've had it from 2018 till now. First owners owned a sheet metal factory and stored it indoors. We have not stored it indoors but did have it covered for about half of its life with us. The exterior and paint are in good condition, but the photos will show that some of the vinyl decals/striping have weathered.
We have used it extensively but kept it in great condition, fixing problems as they arise and having the engine/chassis serviced regularly at Sprinter Pitstop on Miramar Road.
This RV is very boondocker-friendly, meaning it can go many days without hookups and still be very comfortable. The 350W solar panel easily top off the batteries most days, so you can run your heater at night, power your computer, cellular devices, TVs, water-pump, without needing to run the generator. Of course, the Onan 3600W generator can be used if you need to run A/C or other high-wattage appliances (or there is no sun).
The RV is 24' and can fit into many tight spots. It is "pre-DEF," meaning you don't need to use DEF fluid on this diesel engine.
We have added a lot to this RV:
• (2) 100aH Battleborn lithium batteries
• 350W residential solar panel on the roof (can be tilted/aimed)
• Victron MPPT solar controller
• Upgraded battery charger (converter) required for lithium
• I built the dinette (was a couch)
• I built the entryway storage shelving/cubbies
• Added a 10" touchscreen (Apple CarPlay wireless) stereo receiver
• Added new speakers in the living room
• Added new ceramic toilet (Dometic)
• Added several cigarette lighter plugs so you can easily use a small inverter throughout the RV
• New TV in the bedroom
• Added HDMI splitter so all 3 TVs can play the same media
• Includes Progressive Industries 30A EMS battery monitor/surge-protector (https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Surge-Protector-EMS-PT30X-Black/dp/B01N0W4CZ8)
• Extend-a-shower installed: https://www.amazon.com/Stromberg-Carlson-EXT-3542-Extend-A-Shower-White/dp/B0031XXW4O/
• Passenger seat chair swivel installed
• Custom swamp cooler included (see pics in Google photos link above). Swamp coolers can run off low power and still keep your RV cool. Very boondocker-friendly. Yes, the normal A/C works just fine and you can use that too.
• Installed fridge thermostat so you can control the temp better
• New high-def backup camera installed
• New keyless entry lock
Challenges / Problem Areas:
• Ladder dented. I backed into a rain gutter, and it dented the ladder years ago. It's cosmetic but noticeable.
• The paint is in good condition, but the decals/striping have some weather deterioration in line with age.
• The HWH levelling jacks do not function and need service. My uneducated guess is that this will cost between $500-1000 to get working. We never loved these auto-levelers and just leveled it normally (with blocks/wood, etc.).
CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.
We will only do the sale transaction in person, at a reputable bank, in San Diego. Please don't contact me if you're not willing to do that.
