Description

2002 Mercedes freight liner sprinter van

The van:

5 cyl diesel engine. With only 116,000 miles on it, this van is hardly broke in. Fwd. It has been regularly serviced. I just did an oil change, tire rotation, tires and break pads are all in good condition. There is one minor dent in the back door from previous owners backing into a post. But it doesn’t affect the closing or opening. It was a Texas vehicle prior to me owning it so there is no rust.

I bought this as a transport vehicle and poured my heart and soul into making it my home on wheels.

The electrics: 400w of Renogy solar on the roof, 200 amp hour lithium Renogy battery, 2000w Renogy inverter, and a dc to dc charger, 12v IceCo chest fridge and freezer (holds so much), 12v lights, 12v rooftop vent fan with rain protection sensors, 120v plugs in the outdoor (rear) kitchen and in the main kitchen, and two 5v usb ports by the bed for phone charging. This van has three different ways of charging the battery! 1. Solar 2. Shore power 3. Off of the alternator when the vehicle is running thanks to the Dc to dc charger.

The build out: Amish made pine cabinets-I chose pine because it is the lightest therefore didn’t take as much away from my mpgs. Short full size bed with built in dog crate underneath. My 80 lb golden can spread out in the crate no problem. Pull out table, two benches with one housing the fridge/freezer, back doors open up to an outdoor kitchen and extra “garage” storage, two cabinets above the bed, two above the kitchen, plus under the sink, and there is a whole above head storage that goes all the way into the cab of the van, privacy/extra protection door that closes the cab off to the back. This was such a helpful feature, not only did it help immensely with keeping temperatures out, it made me feel extra safe when parked in the “sketchy” parts of town. Main Sliding door also has an extra bolt lock I installed.

Plumbing:

There is a 25 gallon water tank built in under the bed. The fill is in the inside of the van in the kitchen. (I went this route after hearing stories of people having instances where someone would pour gas, chemicals etc down their water tank and I wanted it to be as safe as it could be.) and a 10 gallon grey tank under the sink that detaches from the pipes and can be dumped when needed. There is a 12v automatic water pump as well.

Insulation:

The van is insulated with havelock wool in the walls, and 1/2 inch foam board on the vinyl floors. When the fan is running and the doors are open, it cools down nicely. As far as staying warm in winter climate goes, I have a fitted heated mattress cover on the bed and that kept us nice and toasty. But there are a lot of similar fixes that work just as well.

This van is beautiful and I love it with my whole heart. I know you will too. Only reason for selling is I am buying a home.
