Custom built Dodge Promaster 2500 with less than 20,000 miles. It's the owner's vehicle of a professional van build company. Sarah has been road tested (see photos) having been driven to CA to MA and back . Specifications include:

Electrical system is based on a 2500 Watt Ecoflow generator with a secondary 2500 backup unit. A 1000 Watt inverter powered from alternator charges battery while driving. Simultaneously 500 Watts of rooftop panels recharge batteries.

Multiple 120V power sockets permit the use of just about any appliance imaginable. More than a dozen 12V USB ports cellphones.

STEALTH & ACCESS

Sarah was designed to be a "stealth" van, permitting the owner to park it just about anywhere including city streets. Two large skylights provide both ventilation and light to the interior of van. Night shades on skylights and custom blackout curtains seals van at night. Anyone who has ever owned a Class B van knows the benefits of the ability to park in any car space, designated spot in a parking lot, and ability to fit into a low cost tent site instead of a dedicated RV spot in a campground. Sarah spent a week in Napa valley at a state campground for $35/night that prohibits RVs. Almost every hotel within 20 miles charges over $300/night.

Power

A positive experience in vanlife is directly attributable to having uninterrupted power . Sarah has two 250 Watt solar panels and an additional 150 Watt flexible panel that can be plugged into a 12V solar port on rear bumper. A 1000 Watt inverter converts 12V from alternator to 120V to recharge generator while van is on. A secondary 2500 Watt battery system provides 100% backup in case of a failure of primary system. Sarah is probably only van on market with this capability.
