2016 Forest River R-Pod 179 Hood River Edition with X-Treme 15 inch off road tires, aluminum rims and advanced ground clearance which makes it less likely to contact rocks and other objects on uneven roads. This RV is in great condition and includes a brand new AC- perfect for Texas hot weather(!), as well as a furnace. We enjoyed the large kitchen window located in the back of camper and experienced many a lovely sunset view. The R-Pod 179 is perfect for towing with our Toyota Highlander. Were including new weight distribution hitch and anti-sway bar. It is 21 ft in length with an 8-foot slide out and has a dry weight of 2630 lbs. Camper has a queen size mattress with a 3 foam topper and a thick quilted mattress pad that makes this bed more comfortable than our home bed! It is very clean and sleeps 3 comfortably. The original U-shaped bench coach has been modified to increase interior space with a futon. This R-Pod 179 also comes equipped with a 3-way refrigerator, microwave/convection oven, gas 2-burner cooktop, ample storage room, including a built-in rack over the bed. There are outdoor and indoor speakers, a TV that can be viewed from the bed or the coach and a built-in stereo. The bathroom has a shower and toilet combo. We have traveled less than 3,000 miles with the camper, primarily taking it to Central Texas state parks. The price Includes the camper cover ($158), floor outdoor mat ($40), RV Camco 30-amp voltage protector ($264), tire covers, hitch lock ($30), battery, propane gas, folding table, and even the coffee pot and burner cover (to extend counter space). This model is our favorite of the R-Pod models and, unfortunately, Forest River no longer makes this spacious model. Get this camper while you can.
