Description
The 2008 EARTHROAMER XV-LT.Earthroamer Lt
We have decided to sell our beloved Earth Roamer (ER) as we have shifted gears from land exploration to sea adventures. Our ER is well documented and fanatically maintained with no expense spared. Purchased with 17k miles, current miles read 41k. Upon purchase , I went through from front to back and side to side. It came on stock suspension and Alcoa super singles, the ride was brutal. First spend was back to ER to have the install kelderman air ride, king shocks, wheels and tires (5). Also installed winch to operate spare tire. While at ER we also had everything serviced or fixed. This was $60k bill but it was worth it imho to have the truck sorted out at the factory. I removed the factory leather seats (they are in storage)and replaced them with national 12 way adjustable air ride seats , nice for those long days in the seat. After marked stereo with speakers amp as well as slim sub, sounds good, there are also 2 tvs in rear seat area, never used them but they are there. ( no kids no pets)
The power plant was diagnosed with a mild head gasket leak(bummer) Due to labor cost to pull engine out front due to not being able to raise the cab it was basically the same price to purchase a new motor from Ford with a warranty. Transmission was serviced and has a new torque converter. The truck is completely deleted with a custom mild tune for mpg. Full mishimoto cooling system to include t-bar clamps and silicone hoses. This truck makes great power and has no problem pulling any grade with cruise control on without a down shift. The camper is well sorted out installed newer more efficient refrigerator. There is nothing to mention , everything works except instant water heater, which I removed . Again no pets and no kids, the camper is super clean with no smells stains or wood damage. There is no generator the camper electric runs on solar only. 3 sources to heat water(espar, electric, engine), cabin heat, stove and water heat are provided by diesel. Truck hold about 100 gallons of fuel ( lots of range) 100 gallons of water….that makes staying out for long stretches really nice. This is a true 4 seasone ride and the heater will blow you out of the truck at sub zero temps. The AC is ok I’ve only used 2-3 times as I’m mostly in the mountains or on the coast so it was not needed, only turn it on to exercise it. There is oasis onboard air with front and rear chucks to air up or down or run air tools. 16,5
