Description
Handyman Special, 2003 hr admiral 30ft. ford f53 chassis with 4 speed transmission, v10 engine. engine was serviced 4 yrs ago, new plugs, coils, alternator. i change the oil every yr regardless of miles driven, tranny i do a drain and fill every yr also. chassis lubed same time. chassis has bilstien shocks 4 corners, a track bar on front axle and steering stabilizer that is 5 yrs old. engine runs great, tranny shifts good, and the ride is better than other rvs without the stabilizer and trac bar. tires are 2020 with about 5k miles on them. had brakes looked at when i did tires, shop told me they was about 1/2 worn, that was 5k miles ago, so maybe like 65% worn now. coach is in good shape except for some cosmetic issues. the slide out covers i changed about 9 yrs ago, they starting to tear, as i put in one of the pics. i havent opened the main awning in a long time, but i imagine its worn just like the slide out covers. those are all easy to change, if you know how. i learned off you tube and did them alone. generator runs good, onan 4k. the main issue is the floor. i put a couple pics from the water stains on the bedroom carpet. few yrs ago, the toilet water intake was dripping in the back, i wasnt aware of it. eventually notice the bathroom floor getting soft, i repaired that but didnt notice the moisture had wicked under the bathroom wall into the bedroom and hall floor. that area now needs to be repaired, but i developed knee problems and cant kneel down for hours to fix it. thats why the rv is for sale. fix the floor and slide out covers, and a few other minor things and shes good to go. the body and roof are aluminium sheet. they dont make them like that anymore, too expensive. strong, but downsides is that there is dark streaking on sides from aluminium oxide. there is black stain remover on market for that. rv has 2 ac's, both 3-4 yrs old. 15k btu ducted main unit, and a 13.5k unit in bedroom. rv is 30 amp service, so you can only run 1 ac at a time. 6gl water heater, runs on gas only. electric element is bad, and havent had time to fix it. ice make in freezer also not working, but fridge works fine. taking reasonable offers
