Description
When we were looking for an RV we wanted a dependable and reliable vehicle. We think Winnebago who has a long successful history was the brand we wanted. The Ford F53 is well respected and the most popular gasoline chassis. We upgraded ours with Roadmaster sway bars. A heavier one in the front and an additional rear one that helps reduce swaying when entering and exiting driveways or dealing with windy driving conditions. The exterior has been regularly washed/waxed, and the full body paint is in great condition.
We have owned her for 4 years and have kept up all routine maintenance. We drove to the Winnebago factory last spring and had the roof inspected and they resealed it along with all the other seals. This model has a very large slide out on the driver side and while at the Winnebago factory we had them upgrade it to a newer heavier duty slide system and replace the slide seals. This along with other small maitenance items made resulted in about 8500 dollars of upgrades or prevenative maintnance.
Two big things that we were looking for is the overall appearance which for us is nicely accomplished in the exterior and interior color combinations.
The other feature we were looking for is the second half bathroom. There is a sliding door that closes off the main bedroom and bathroom from the front of the coach. The potenial other occupants or any company can use the second bathroom. This is allso very handy to access while on the road.
The Adventurer was Winnebago's flagship gasoline model and is equipped with full features. Large tanks for gasoline fresh water propane and the black and gray water reduce maintaing them. Automatic leveling, easy slide opening and well laid out controls all add to the ease of operation. Three powered exhaust fans along with two air conditioners and heat pumps with the main propane furnace increase easy comfort. Large powered awning with with outdoor electrical sockets and automatic entrance steps increase ease of use. The microwave convection unit and three burner propane stove along with a large two door refrigeration / freezer with ice maker help provide easy meal preparation. A combination Washer/Dryer makes laundry simple. The Corian counter and stainless sink make cleanup easier.
The main living area contains a booth that can seat four with an electric powered sofa that seats 2-3 and both driver and passenger captain chairs revolve for two more.
