Description
Serious offers only. Clear title in hand.
Purchased for 75,000. Was asking $64.999, but now asking 54,999 considering my need to sell due to medical issues. This could easily be a $100k Airstream when polished and cosmetically refreshed. Please, no low ball offers. This is a solid, beautiful, age respected trailer.
Frame off, professionally restored, but still with vintage look and feel. Renovated in early 2000s by Uwe Salwender of Area 63 Productions in California. Long list of updates (please see pics for the list).
A vintage, turn-key trailer in great, very comfortable and livable shape. ALL systems replaced in 2000 including all wiring and plumbing. Pre wired for solar. LED lighting. Extended black, gray, and fresh water tanks. Extra capacity water heater. Zip Dee awning. Polished propane tanks just recertified . Custom flame maple wood cabinetry and more. Low VOC materials throughout.
Interior floor plan and feel has been kept similar to the original 1963 mid double layout, but with modern amenities! It even still has the original "shrub" tiny tub. Sofa also extends into a double bed to accommodate 4 total adults.
New tires in 2019. New remote, rain sensing Fantastic Fans and exterior LED running lights in 2021. New Coleman Mach 15k BTU rooftop AC (replaced one of the Fantastic fans, which I still have if you'd like it) for brutal AZ summers.
2019 Inspection Summary: "This RV has been through a very meticulous restoration. This restoration appears to be done to a professional level and did not see any place where they missed any detail. The fit and finish is very good on this RV with the exception of a 8 inch scratch/ scrape on the right front and minor, surface scratches by front door. The structure on this RV seems to be in very good shape. I could see no deterioration, water damage, mold or corrosion. The Airstream is a fine example of what a restored vintage RV should be."
Original exterior aluminum is in good, clean shape but needs polishing. Surface scratches near front door. Interior flame maple custom cabinetry and butcher block counters are in great shape. No known leaks. Floating Portuguese cork flooring has separated in two spots (see pics). Cork flooring was not the best choice for a trailer that has seen multiple climates and temperatures. I am not aware of any subfloor damage.
Sold As Is . Viewing/Inspections by appointment. No "test drives". Clear title in hand. Bank to bank direct wire transfer prior to releasing.
