Make memories for a lifetime with this 2021 Taxa Outdoors Mantis Habitat. The Mantis is the largest of the Taxa Outdoors brand habitats, and yet only weighs 3,000 pounds. This unit is a single owner trailer that packs a punch with the ability to comfortably accommodate a family of four. Below is a list of all the features this trailer offers and a few upgrades made by us based on our experiences and needs. The queen bed located in the rear converts to a dining table with seating for all four occupants. The front bench converts to a set of bunks to accommodate the sleeping needs of two additional people. The lower bench can also be stowed to create space to pack taller gear while traveling. Cassette toilet and shower. In the three years of ownership and use, the toilet and shower were never used. Frigidaire wall air conditioning unit. Heat is provided via a Truma® Combi Eco Furnace & Water Heater System. Hot and cold water is fed to the Dometic sink in the galley kitchen and to both the interior and exterior showers. The kitchen includes a Dometic dual burner gas stove top. We are including our National Luna brand Legacy 55 refrigerator with a seamless lockdown plate for easy removal. It has a 20-gallon fresh water tank and a 22-gallon grey water tank with an upgraded drain hose. Dual 20 lb. propane tanks. 15-inch offroad tires mounted to alloy wheels on a Lippert brand axle with electric drum brakes. The brakes were serviced in May of 2022. A full-size spare on a steel wheel mounted under the rear deck. Power comes from a standard 30 amp RV shore service or via a pre-wired solar connector. The unit can accommodate 2 group 27 batteries. Storage was improved by the addition of wood sides under the rear bench seats. Other Taxa Mantis units do not have this feature.
