Why are we selling our motorhome? 6-years of great traveling fun, I am getting on in age (81 years old) – ah well…

My wife and I did an extensive amount of research on motorhomes. We looked at Tiffin, Newmar and Entegra. However, when we stepped into a Dutch Star, the high-quality Newmar interior workmanship cinched the deal!

We found the top Newmar reputation to be true, thanks in part to the Amish ownership and construction. And, nice folks!

RV interiors are small to start with, and dark colors make the interior look like a cave. THIS coach has a light, bright and cheery Carmel Glazed Cherry wood interior and off-white upholstery.

The floorplan for this unit is spacious with its full-length slideout that can be seen in our photos.

The single largest after-market upgrade that we made was the solar panel system with Lithium-Ion batteries (see our photos).

This solar energy system was purchased and installed by Solar Energy Systems, located about three miles from the factory. They supply solar systems directly to Newmar. This is the premier RV solar system supplier and installer in the U.S. Our system cost us just over $36,000.

We love this solar energy system. We almost never had to run our generator when dry camping!

My sister said that she didn’t consider that we were really “camping.” I replied that she was correct, we were NOT camping, we were LIVING THE DREAM!

WOW, the motorhome proved very easy to drive. Ask my wife who does most of the driving! We have enclosed a photo of my wife’s 99-year-old Aunt Betty behind the wheel of our coach! Oh, wait – I guess she never really drove the coach, nonetheless…
