Description
SOLD 8/31/2023!!! This is a well cared for, one-owner, latest generation Winnebago View model 24J. It has full body paint and a diesel generator. Notable features include modern contemporary styling, a 12v compressor refrigerator, induction and gas cooktops, microwave and convection oven, advanced mattress system, porcelain toilet, generous sized holding tanks, aluminum wheels, and a ton of storage. This is a top-tier Sprinter based Class C motorhome.
I’ve made several substantial upgrades. Solar panels, coach batteries, air conditioner, chassis battery maintainer, central heating thermostat, inverter control, suspension, leveling have all been upgraded. It is way more ready for camping than when it came out of the factory. A stock View or Navion is great for full hookup sites. But if you want to boondock, a stock View or Navion is not quite ready (unless you want to run your generator a whole lot).
Bumping the solar from 200 watts to 440 watts and the coach batteries from 100 amp hours to 630 amp hours of lithium are game-changers. An Amp-L-Start was added to allow the coach to keep the chassis battery charged during extended camping in one spot. An EasyStart was added to the air conditioner to extend its life (and allow it to be run with a smaller generator). A LevelMate Pro makes setting up for camping and sleeping a breeze.
Additional upgrades include Bluetooth controllers for the 2,000 watt inverter and the heating/cooling thermostat. It’s nice to be able to lay in bed and dial up the heat when you’re about to get up. The suspension has been beefed-up to provide more rear-end clearance and a better ride. This is huge when negotiating steep entries or exits at fuel stations, stores, or campsites. It’s particularly important when it comes to campsites because clearance can be the difference between getting into a campsite or not.
And while 43,000 miles may sound like a lot, consider that this unit’s diesel engine is probably just getting broken in. Diesel engines, whether a generator or truck engine, have notoriously long lives. Plus, View/Navion motorhomes have been in production for almost 20 years, and a good many of the early units are still in service and holding up well. Also, Winnebago is famous for being able to supply virtually any part of the coach that might need replacement. These are very maintainable units.
So give this unit consideration, if it meets your needs I’m confident you won’t be disappointed.
