A very well maintained Rockwood HW296. Just look at the pictures; this is in like new condition. I purchased this unit new and have been the sole owner. I have used this less than a dozen times. The unit has always been covered and its canvas covered by Pop-up Gizmos.
This unit features a king-sized bed at 70” x 80” and a queen bed at 60” x 80”. The mattresses are heated for those wonderful fall nights.
This unit has a couch with seating for three and a “U” shaped dinette which can sit 6 comfortably – a total of nine. The dinette is part of the slide out and can be converted into a bed to sleep two. The couch can also be converted into a bed. That brings the sleeping capacity up to seven campers.
The kitchen area in this unit is fantastic. The counters are residential height so no bending over like in other pop ups. I challenge anyone with a travel trailer to show more counter space than this unit. Anyone who has ever camped knows having storage and counter top space is very important. This unit has tons of each.
This camper has a 16’ box and weighs in at 3,552 lbs dry. It is easily towed by most SUVs and trucks with a standard 5,000 lb. towing capacity. This camper is 27’9” when fully opened. It is as large as most travel trailers when opened but closes up into a 16” box which enables easy towing and saves on gas.
This unit has a power lift system.
The unit is fully contained for off grid camping. The stove, oven, hot water heater, fridge, and heater will all run off of the two on board propane tanks. The electric battery will operate the lights and water pump for showers and toilet. It comes pre-prepped for solar panels.
