2018 Airstream Basecamp 16, with dealer installed Basecamp X lift kit for greater off road clearance. This Basecamp is in excellent condition, with all systems working perfectly.
It is great on the road, pulled easily by my six cylinder SUV. High ground clearance, large wheels and aggressive departure angle are a big plus on all tyes of roads.
Two deep cycle marine batteries charged by double Zamp PV panels provide plenty of power for off grid camping.
The trailer has a thermostat controlled Truma Combi LP gas furnace with supplementary indirect water heating. The Truma unit will function on any of three selectable modes - LP gas, electric, or gas/electric mix. I have camped in this unit at -5 degrees and been perfectly comfortable.
