As far as pop-up trailers in general, this one’s pretty large at almost 22 feet in length when closed. But when you open it up, it really opens up.

On either end there’s a bed that slides out and a tent that goes around that. On one end this bed is an actual king-sized bed at 70” x 80”. At the opposite end is a true queen bed at 60” x 80”. The mattresses on both ends are also heated. Oh, and there’s a fan and light that hangs from the roof supports, too.

Both ends also feature a “shelf” arrangement that’s really more of a hammock to put stuff while you’re sleeping. This trailer will surprise you with a lot of seating space, too. There’s a couch at one end along with a “U” shaped dinette. This dinette is actually in a slide and, of course, can sleep two. That brings the sleeping capacity up to six campers plus one on the couch.

Outside is where you’ll find a portable griddle and a metal table that can expect a lot of use. However, there is a full kitchen in this trailer with a three-burner stove with an actual, albeit 16”, oven, a fully plumbed sink and even a three-way refrigerator. It has a real shower and a toilet and the toilet is plumbed into a black holding tank.

Forest River makes camping comfortable and designed the 2022 Rockwood Premier High Wall Series HW296 for those who want the amenities of a larger travel trailer that can sleep 7 but like the convenience of a self-contained tent garageable camper for easier storage and effortless towing.

With a 371 lb. hitch weight, 3721 lb. UVW, and 1278 lb. CCC, this well-appointed camper gives you a larger refrigerator, standard oven, microwave, added counter space, and upgraded Dexter torsion axles; all features that are not available in a standard size tent camper.

Whew! The list goes on and on. Come look! If you want a great camper that can be towed by most SUVs and medium sized trucks, you will not be disappointed. We have towed it with a Honda Ridgeline and a Toyota Highlander with no problems (and around 16 mpg!)
