The Lance 861 8'-8" is designed for the 2500 -3500 Series short bed pickup. I am the second owner of this great camper and have enjoyed it tremendously on many local trips as well as trips to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Flaming Gorge, Yellowstone Park, Grand Tetons, Nebraska, Kansas , and Medicine Bow Wyoming. It has never let me down. No leaks as it's been covered whenever not being used. I treat the rubber roof annually and I have kept it washed and waxed. I replaced both awning fabrics in 2020 and also replaced the old electric leveling jacks control/remote. All appliances are in good working order as well as the generator and a/c. Slideout works perfect. I pull my 24' pontoon boat behind my diesel Ramm 2500 HD with no problems. I do have airbags installed. this model 861 was Lance's cold weather camper. The holding tank compartment below the floor is a heated part of the camper. I can attest to the fact that it will keep things thawed out in a Nebraska late November deer hunt where the temps dropped to near Zero at night with no freezups. And this was dry camping without shore power available so we used the batteries and recharged with the generator daily. The wet bath is also quite remarkable for a camper of this size. It is very well designed for space utilization.
