Description
Presented is the 2005 Airstream Westfalia Class B RV on a Dodge Sprinter 2500 chassis, one of the rarest and most sought after builds in the Class B playing field. Combining the innovative designs of Westfalia and Airstream, two pioneers in the industry, with the renowned Dodge Sprinter van chassis, this rig stands out from any other competitors.
Only 250 of these vehicles were imported in the USA, making it a true collector's piece for any Airstream or Westfalia lover. With its low mileage of only 59,801 original Carfax-certified miles, this RV has become a relic, a piece of history. Most of the same make and models have been worn away by use and abuse, but this one is still all original from the factory, with no alterations. All original manuals are still available, and even the original factory stickers are still in tact.
The windows have original factory imprints, and the original umbrella from Westfalia is still preserved in the van with its designer's name, James Cook. It's hard to imagine a more rare and preserved example of this iconic trio. It's likely that this is the last one in the United States of this nature, with these low miles and without any alterations from the factory. This Westy has a 7-foot, 8-inch interior clearance, making it the perfect RV for tall people who would struggle in other class Bs with ceiling heights of 5-feet, 11-inches or lower. Exterior is 10’6.
This Westy is equipped with a variety of features that make it a comfortable and convenient vehicle. The exterior is adorned with full body paint, alloy rims, an awning, tinted glass, vent windows in the raised roof with mosquito nets and blinds, a patio exterior outlet, and an exterior shower. Inside, the laminate cabinetry provides ample storage, while the skylight and laminated table add to the airy and spacious feel. The rubber flooring throughout is durable and easy to clean. The built-in lock safe adds peace of mind, while the double bed above features high comfort springs. The sofa below can be converted into a double bed for additional sleeping space. The full wet bathroom includes a sink, toilet, and shower, while the kitchen features a two-burner stove, refrigerator, water heater, sink and furnace.
It's tough to decide whether to put the Westfalia on the road or preserve it in an airstream museum – it deserves both. Its fierce engineering stands as time's testimony that no modern class B RV is as profound in the practicality department as the Westfalia. Above all, it's a dream for any travel enthusiast, RV collector, or history buff, one of the most unique RVs from a period where Westfalia and Airstream really pushed the limits with the innovative trio of Westfalia, Airstream, and Dodge Sprinter.
