We are selling our '22 Wildwood Platinum FSX 178BHSKX. We’ve had it just a little over a year, and are having to own up to the fact that we aren’t going to be able to get enough use out of it to justify the cost. We’ve taken three trips and logged probably around 5,000 miles in it. It’s taken us to the Gulf, to Kentucky, and a big road trip that took us to Chicago, Minnesota, the Badlands and Black Hills, Wyoming, and Colorado. It has been an absolute blast, but it’s time for someone else to start making their own memories in it.
We have three boys (11–16), and while it is on the smaller side, it comfortably slept all five us, with plenty of room. We did a ton of research, and it was the model that made the most sense for us. It has double bunks in the back, the dinette in the slide folds into a short queen, and there’s a Murphy queen that folds down over the loveseat. It’s one of the few smaller campers that has a U-shaped dinette, and with the Murphy up front, you’re not wasting space with a bed that you only use for sleeping. It’s a great use of space, is hardly noticeable behind our 1-ton, and still remains small/light enough to pull behind my son’s Xterra.
This is the Platinum edition, so it’s optioned with smooth fiberglass walls, upgraded steel wheels, platinum graphics package, and a thicker metal front wall. The regular 178BHSK is very well optioned, with a power slide featuring a U-shaped dinette and largest-in-class opening panorama window, vinyl Congoleum flooring, huge 11 cu. ft. 12v fridge, outdoor kitchen with mini fridge an slide-out griddle, outdoor shower with hot/cold, 12 usb ports for endless charging, room for dual Group 24 batteries (1 currently installed), fully prepped for solar, power awning with LED lighting, etc.
