Description
We bought our 2012 Chateau 23U two years ago because the family grew out of our last camper. My wife and I and our 4 children have been on multiple trips and have loved every minute. Selling was a tough decision for us. Life has gotten busier and we're just not able to take it out as much as we had hoped.
The Positives: Appliances, water lines, tied to the RV fuel gas generator, gas/electric water heater, gas furnace, gas/electric fridge, AC all work great, the engine purrs, the past owner and myself are meticulous about oil changes and keeping it under cover (it's always been stored under roof). No water damage or roof leaks. It's a nice short 23 foot and is easy to navigate in tight locations and doesn't get blown around heading down the highway. Plenty of sleeping room for a growing family (plenty of room for our 6). Exterior is sharp and clean. A huge outside storage area with built in compartments and a spare tire/table. The tires are top of the line Michelens and are in great shape. It's got a brand new inverter and water pump. Power awning makes setting up camp super easy and quick. Outside shower and outlet.
The Negatives: General wear (in particular the dinette seat cushions) and there is a fuse tied to the back up camera that will drain the battery when parked for an extended period (weeks). You plug/unplug the fuse when parking for a long time. This process takes about 10 seconds.
Everything else about the Chateau is positive. It's been well kept and taken care of. It will make a wonderful home away from home for years to come.
