Description
Are you ready to head south and out of the cold? This unit is great for winter snowbirds and up north campers in the summer.
This unit has 'curb appeal' with its white/grey two tone sidewall and graphics in royal blue, black and grey. Then it has dual axles and I am a fan as this adds stability to the towing experience. The underbelly has the glacier package good for colder weather. There is great pass thru storage in the front, an outdoor fridge to keep your beverages handy while sitting outside and outside speakers. If you like to watch TV outside, you can certainly do that with the outside hookup. There is an outside shower for your sandy or muddy feet as well as bathing the dog. Two 20lb propane tanks that switch in the middle of the night when one goes empty. You don't even have to get out of bed. BTW: the heater keeps all areas toasty as the AC keeps things cool.
The power awning has lovely LED lights that are welcoming when you've been out for a stroll in the evening.
I must not forget to mention the 30 amp service, outside grill propane quick connect port and the unit is prepped for solar.
Hooking the unit to your tow vehicle is made less strenuous with the power tongue and that also makes setting up camp easier too. There are 4 manual stabilizer jacks , just make sure you don't back up too far so they have room to come down. (yes I did that)
Dumping after dry camping is more complete with the black tank flush
We really enjoyed the interior living space with the one slideout holding the dinette in the rear living space. There is good counter space that you don't usually find in a camper with the USB tower in the corner. The appliances; fridge, microwave, oven and 3 burner cookstove are located in the same area. The 32" TV is easily viewed from the love-seat sofa (could be a bed) and one side of the dinette. There is lots of storage space and windows on 3 sides for good viewing of the outdoors.
The bathroom is accessable from both the living area and the bedroom. There is room to turn around and a solid surround for the shower. You don't have to deal with the curtain that sticks to your legs or falls outside of the shower. A skylight above the shower adds more light for daytime use.
The bedroom has the standard queen size mattress with mirrored cabinets on both sides, wide cabinets above and large underbed storage. There's a hookup for your bedroom TV.
We enjoyed travelling with this JayFeather and living in it. Often while travelling we didn't even extend the slideout when we were in a tight space i.e. truck stop. We could access everything we needed for that overnight.
It's been winterized every year, washed and waxed, roof treated and otherwise cared for.
