This is a 1968 Security TL Retro Travel Trailer not sure why it was not available on the very detailed list. Anyways @ 15 ft long and a standard width and height & a weight of 3,500 lbs dry & 4,000 lbs wet, this Retro Camper is both road ready & most importantly road worthy! We know from personal experience that three people fit comfortably in this unit for as long as three months period goes. FYI-The clean water tank holds 20 gallons and the black water (no gray water tank in this oldie but goodie) holds 40 gallons. ***Recently replaced/updated items include: 1 new power inverter, 1 new waste hose, 4 new stabilizers, 1 new tongue jack, 1 new water heater & 1 new water pump. When I bought the camper in 2020, the previous owner had upgraded the toilet & its corresponding waste tank, the mini fridge/freezer with travel straps, updated the kitchen countertops with new Formica tops, added a fresh coat of paint through out the interior, put a full size bed complete with a zippered bug protector, & added a small microwave. It also includes a hot plate & sheets! ***
The bathroom has a sink & toilet (no shower but with the new hot water heater/pump a warm bird bath will do the trick). The kitchen has it’s own sink, fridge with freezer & straps, the original kitchen table & bench & tons of cabinet/drawer space (most of the drawers have safety latches for safe travel). The flooring is original. The bench of the kitchenette doubles as a single bed space with its own mattress pad. Just for nostalgia there’s a 1968 calendar & some 1960s post cards hanging on the bathroom wall.
We would like to upgrade our camper to meet our growing family’s needs. Actually our family of 3 lived in this camper for 3 months during the winter in Montana. I was surprised to notice that the water in the pumps & sinks & toilet never froze once, so it has excellent insulation! Also summer trips when it was scorching hot were kept cool in the shade with the windows open.
