Description
If you are a couple looking for a simple, well-maintained motorhome, this one is for you.
It has a practical floorplan, with plenty of windows for light and lots of storage, both inside and out. On the road the coach is short enough to maneuver, but at rest its roomy feeling will surprise you. The couch folds out into a Flexsteel queen-size air mattress, so there’s ample room to host a couple (or a couple grandchildren) on your trips.
We have made many improvements: New flooring, new captain’s chairs, new refrigerator, new awnings- the list is long. At 31 feet, this may be the smallest Class A you’ll see with a vented washer-drier combo unit. The tires were new in 2019. We’ve repaired many of the “class” problems for which Monaco products of this era are known.
You’ll get many spare parts and materials- for instance, extra flooring and a transfer switch for the refrigerator. Manuals, wiring diagrams (including ones showing modifications made), component list, service record and warranty information will be yours. Most will come in paper and electronic formats, the latter on a USB flash drive and well-indexed.
Will this be your first RV? No problem! Included are many of the items one needs for traveling and camping, such as two GPSes, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, hoses, windshield and window covers, patio sunshade and the like. This saves you money, and you’ll know the items work well with the coach.
If you don’t already have a “toad,” you can buy our 2009 Honda Fit Sport. It’s equipped for towing four-down, with Roadmaster baseplate and towbar, Demco/SMI Stay-in-Play Duo for braking, and a permanently-installed light system. It has 113,500 miles on the odometer (plus 35,000 miles of towing). Asking $7,000 when bought with the coach.
Note: A cat traveled with us until April 2021. If you have cat allergies, let us know and we can address your concerns. On the other hand, if you plan to travel with a cat or two ask us about a special “cat-friendly” feature of this coach.
This 2008 Admiral is in great shape, is well-equipped and ready for you to drive home. To our knowledge, there are no outstanding significant problems. Does it still have shortcomings and quirks? Yes. Does it have items that can be improved? Yes. We’re happy to talk about these, and also about the details that you might miss- the pictures don’t really capture how nice it is!
