Description
- This is a fantastic bunkhouse layout. While it technically sleeps 10, a realistic number is around 8. We used it for 6 with lots of flexibility. There is a queen bed in the back with two bunks in the slide. You can sleep two over the cab, or 1-2 in each of the jack-knife sofa and convertible kitchen table. Having the bunks and over-cab sleeping is great as you don't have to make and unmake beds.
- There is a ton of storage space in the many storage bins underneath.
- This unit currently does not have an awning (lost it in the wind.). But all of the wiring is intact for the power-awning and lights. The holes are there and undamaged, so it should be an easy replacement. Personally, we found the awing not very useful.
- When comparing to others note that this one has many, many thousands in upgrades:
- Brand new Schwintek slide mechanism, professionally installed in Tucson, AZ 2020.
- 400 Watts of Renogy Solar Panels with 40 Amp MPPT charger.
- 300 Amp Hour AGM batteries (as much as I could fit). These batteries were carefully taken care of (not discharged below 50% and recharged ASAP). It also has a battery monitor to keep an eye on how much you are using (the stock one inside tells you almost nothing).New power converter from progressive dynamics. This is a great upgrade which allows you to charge the batteries much faster off the generator to save on gen time. Also ran higher gauge (And shorter) wire to battery that also helps to charge the batteries quickly. Can do lithium-ion also.
- Apple Car Play/Android Auto Panasonic stereo (really helpful while driving!!). The stock one was amazingly terrible.
- Almost everything has been reupholstered. There are one or two small things that were missed and could probably be redone in the future.
- 4 brand new rear tires a couple of months ago. Front ones are fine.
- New propane regulator and gauge. The repair also detangled the tank from all of the TV wiring which makes working on the tank easier.
- New USB charging ports in the back (they wear out), plus a new set added next to the Queen bed, both USB ports and an accessory outlet (good for charging a laptop).
- Replaced all the fridge shelving.
- Lots of small things: new faucet in bathroom (stock one was plastic!), lots of drawer latches replaced, brass city water inlet (stock is plastic and was terrible!), and a bunch of other stuff too numerous to list!I have the title in hand, no need to wait for a loan payoff etc.
