1973 Dodge Avco, 27 feet, 440 V8, heavy duty 727 transmission, steel cage with fiberglass shell construction, 90,300 miles, $6500

This 1973 Dodge Avco was purchased in 2015 with body and interior nearly completely restored (there is NO fridge and the gas line still needs to be connected to the propane tank) and has rarely been used. Since owning I have collected receipts totaling $16,000 for new wheels and tires; new carburetor; new fuel pump and filters; new steering gear box; rebuilt transmission; new springs; resurfaced roof; and repairs to brakes and electric system. The engine is smooth and strong and starts every time. I spared no expense on repairs because I was preparing this ride for retirement, but now that retirement is here I am moving to South America. This is an extremely clean and well built classic RV. Being a pre-1975 model, no smog certification is needed.
