Description

Motivated seller! We purchased this trailer from an older couple in Arkansas in September 2017. We installed new tires, brakes, and shocks, and had the bearings serviced before hauling it to our home in California. We installed new gas tanks and battery, license plate light, and marker lights. We then spent the next several months renovating the interior, which included the following:

  • Replaced the sub-floor in the front half of the trailer
  • Installed vinyl plank flooring throughout
  • Rebuilt the dinette/bed to accommodate my 6’2” self
  • Replaced the countertop with modern Corian surface
  • Replaced the gas oven
  • New backsplash
  • New dinette/bed cushions and new twin mattresses
  • New accordion curtain/room separator
  • New bathroom vanity
  • New gray water tank and plumbing (original trailer required a straight discharge.into an exterior tank or on the ground - gross!)
  • New paint/curtains
  • Chandelier
  • Replaced all three vent covers

We moved to the DC area in the summer of 2018, living in the trailer for about a month awaiting our rental house. Living here, we turned our attention to the exterior, patching holes and waterproofing exterior features.

We have not used it much over the last 3 years, but I finished the shower last summer and we installed a new fridge (120v only) earlier this year. AC works, furnace does not.

We will include a small microwave, some cooking and eating implements, new seals we’ve purchased but never installed, and various other little bits and tools that make it camping-ready. I kept the clock in the front of the cabin original, and behind it is the original dashboard and 8-track player. We will also include the original stabilizer/hitch - we’ve used it the whole time we’ve owned the rig!

A county snow plow struck the driver’s/port side of the trailer, leaving a 6”x5’ gash in the aluminum, which I have now patched (see detail pic).

I bought a new water heater and tried to install it this past weekend, but the faceplate is too small for the original opening. I will include the new unit and you can finish installation as I am out of time. The last time we used the trailer (last summer), the water pressure at the kitchen sink was not good - I have no idea why. But as long as the water heater needs work, that’s the time to investigate/fix! The whole system is extremely simple, so there’s not many places for it to go wrong.
