Charli is mechanically new, from the front bumber to the rear. A survivor, i have left some of the "character" this van has developed over time. Remarkabley straight and over all in excellent condition. The gas/electric refrigorator has been removed, saving weight and providing storage. The stove has been modified to run on 1lb propane bottles. A new faucet and updated plumbing throughout the galley. Shore power and water all in great working order. The camper tent is complete and in full working order. New pop top and luggage rack seals. The Aircooled 2.0 litre motor was rebuilt 10,000 miles ago, with forged internals and updated heads and valve train. The engine is fueld by two, single barrel Kadron carburetors, with an automatic electric choke. These work great and are super reliable. The heater boxes are in great working order and the van is sporting a new muffler. The transmission was rebuilt about 30000 miles ago and has a new clutch and freshly rebuilt axles (600 miles ago). Charli's suspension is made up of stock VW springs and Bilstein shocks. ALL suspension and steering bushings have been replaced with performance polyeurthane bushings. 16 inch volkswagen tiguan wheels with AT tires. This van is clean and complete and ready to go.
