Description
We are the second owners of this solid camper and have enjoyed and loved it for 7 years. We are upgrading to a larger Montana and that is why we are selling. We have looked at many 5th wheel campers and feel that the quality of the Montana is excellent.
This is a two slide trailer with a king bed (sleeps great). The advantage of this size and two slides is weight, both vehicle and cargo capacity a bit lower. We have been all over the country with this camper and it has performed wonderfully. Everything works as it should. Refridgerater and freezer, furnace, water heater, air conditioner, water pump, landing gear, slides, commode, fresh, grey and black water tanks, and televisions. Had the wheel bearings repacked and replaced where needed this summer (only about $200 and critical). Trailer brakes in good shape and working smoothly. New tires last year are trailer type, are very heavy duty, and have performed very well on recent trrips to Colorado, Missouri, and Iowa. The sofa folds out to accomodate a double air bed which inflates with a built in electric pump. Son John (200 lbs) slept on this bed this summer and no leaks!
We have stored this trailer under cover when not in use. The roof is in good shape and has never leaked. The slides have covers which keep rain, leaves and branches away from the seals around the slides. The slides are hydraulic so no cables to break and replace. No water damage in this trailer. A new awning installed last year. The awning is manual. I like this as it is easy to pull out and put up and the bracing is stronger than the electric awnings. Better in a wind which often comes with the rain which is why you want the awning extended in the first place!
Photos show us camping in Minnesota, Colorado, Wisconsin, Michigan and New York. See the photo of us loading the camper on a ferry to camp on an island in Lake Supreior! This is a used and loved camper. Its not new but has many many years and miles ahead! I have replaced Montana decals on the front end-cap and one side and have a set for the other side. It is just about ready for this off-season project.
Dont hesitate to write and we can set up a phone or email conversation about our Montana.
