Description
We've loved owning this RV! Sized under the National park limits, but built on a very heavy duty chassis, we enjoyed driving and camping in "Max".
It will happily cruise at 70 mph, unphased by wind or traffic. 8 hour days were no problem, as the air-ride captains chairs are very comfortable and the upgraded stereo allows full blue-tooth capability and satellite radio. We didn't tow with it (no need for a TOAD; we drove through downtown Boston with relative ease!), but it has a 15,000 lb hitch (GCWR is 44,500). Gravel roads, no problem. Tight spaces, no problem. Between electric mirrors and rear camera, it is straight forward to drive, despite its substantial presence. Limited rear overhang make sharp inclines not a problem.
With an upgraded Bose stereo and custom, larger tv, it is very comfortable to relax in at the end of the day (King Dome satellite and tv antenna already installed). We added a swivel on the drivers seat so there are more seating choices. The outside propane grill (connects through quick release to main tank) makes quick work of a steak for dinner. Diesel generator enables off-grid camping in full comfort.
Service is readily available as the Freightliner M2 chassis is very common across the country. The upgraded 7.2 liter Mercedes motor has been bullet proof for us, and is quieter and smoother than the cummins we have in another Freightliner. While not particularly important, this handsome RV is also widely respected and admired. It just makes people smile! Serviced properly and carefully used/stored, this RV is ready to go. Selling only because we are building a house, which will take us off the road for a few years.
