Description
PENDING SALE -- This Lance 1685 is a premium 16'5" lightweight trailer with full 4-Season capability, dual axles, and a walk-on roof. This was ordered in March of 2017 as a 2018 model. It was completed by Lance in July 2017, then delivery was made in Mesquite, Nevada. I've used it on some great trips, but it's time for a retirement RV.
With a full water tank, 1,285 lbs of cargo can be added to this 5,500 GVWR trailer. It weighs 4,215 lbs with full fresh water and full propane on board. It has massive amounts of interior and exterior storage! Included is a full weather cover with carrying bag.
Fresh water, grey water, and black water all have 45 gallon capacity and the tanks are enclosed and heated. The Atwood water heater holds 6 gallons and a convenient drain valve has been added. All tanks can be drained rapidly.
This trailer tows very well. The Husky TS Centerline weight distribution hitch with sway control is included with the trailer. I replaced the troublesome Lippert Smart Jack with the same Husky electric jack found on my 2012 Airstream. I sold the Airstream to buy the Lance if that tells you anything about Lance's quality construction. The Lance Tri-5 propane bottle option provides 15 gallons of propane in 3 conveniently sized tanks. There is a low-pressure propane quick disconnect on the right side. Because the optional high-lift package was ordered, the trailer now has additional 2.75" of OEM ground clearance. Dual Dexter axles are fitted and 4-wheel electric brakes.
Two Lifeline 6 volt AGM batteries with 205 amp hours were installed when new. Later, 340 watts of monochrystaline solar panels (Bosch) went on the roof. No holes were drilled into the roof so no leaks or unexpected issues have a chance to develop. The solar is managed through a Victron 100/30 smart MPPT controller. A 75/15 Victron smart controller was added for use if a portable panel is added later. A Victron 712 smart monitor was installed to monitor depth of discharge and other valuable data via an iPhone or tablet.
A 2-bike fold-up rack is included and is installed on the optional Lance 1.25" receiver hitch. The rear ladder is extra heavy duty. The A/C can be run from a 2,000 watt portable generator. I have additional pictures - just tell me what you'd like to see.
Send me an email. It's finally time to get out of the house and go camping!
