Description
Golden not included !!! Getting out in this 2001 Monaco Knight has been the highlight of our summer vacations and weekends since 2014. The Model 36R is just the right size for staying at your favorite RV Resort, private campground, or state & national parks. Whether you have full hookups or are dry camping, comfort is never sacrificed. At Rocky Mountain National Park we go 5 days with plenty of water for bathroom, showers and flushing. The 4 deep cell batteries with occasional back up from the generator supply plenty of power for our needs. We have spent as little as a couple days to a few weeks on board. Also because its size the "Bus" is very easy to maneuver and allows us to store it at home.
The front living section with its large slide-out is very roomy. The sleeper sofa is a nice place to watch TV, curl up with a book (plenty of lighting) or take that nap. The TV has been replaced with a flat screen and moved from above the driver's area to a more viewable location.
The kitchen is a good size and very user friendly. With lots of cabinets, 3 burner stove, convection microwave, and double sink you will find this area very easy to get around in. Don't forget the 4 door refrigerator with ice maker! We find we like the table and 2 chair dining arrangement more than a booth. It seemed like we were always adjusting the cushions on our last motorhome. The table and chairs can also be moved for convenience.
The vanity / shower area is large and easy to move around in. The mirror is well lit, there is a good size medicine cabinet and under the sink storage. The toilet is by itself with locking door, exhaust fan and window. This area can be separated from the living area with a pocket door and from the bedroom with a sliding door.
The bedroom is very comfortable and has a walk around queen size bed. There are plenty of drawers, cabinets and a large closet providing plenty of storage for extended stays. The lighting is perfect for doing a little reading. It is also a good place to sneak off and grab that nap. I like naps !
The Cummins ISC 315 HP engine is matched with the Allison 3000MH transmission. No trouble climbing steep grades and mountain passes with this. At the flip of a switch the exhaust brake is activated taking the stress out of coming back down those steep grades and passes. Our Jeep Cherokee is the Toad and is with us on about every trip.
