The Jackson KOA is a 79-site RV park located in Jackson, Minnesota off Interstate 90. The park’s convenient location is only two hours forty-five minutes from Minneapolis and an hour and a half from Sioux Falls. Additionally, this park is an ideal stop for campers traveling to Mount Rushmore and the Badlands to the west or Wisconsin Dells and Chicago to the east. This seasonal park offers campers nightly, weekly or monthly stay options. Guests can stay at the campground in one of the many RV sites offered, one and two room cabins or tent sites.
The park consists of 66 total RV sites. Of those 66, 36 are full hook-up. 14 of the full hook-ups are pull-through sites and provide 50-amp service. 14 are back-ins and provide 50-amp service and the remaining 8 full hook-ups are pull-through with 30-amp service. The park also offers guests 25 water/electric sites with 30-amp service. All the water/electric sites are pull-thru. The remaining 5 RV sites are electric only back-in sites with 30-amp service. Another way to enjoy the campground are the one and two-room cabins. There are 2 one-room cabins and 1 two-room cabin. The one-room cabins sleep up to four with one full bed and one bunk bed. Both come equipped with heat, A/C, and a 42” flat screen TV. The two-room cabin provides campers with heat, A/C, 42” flat screen TV, one full bed and two bunk beds. The two-room cabins sleep up to six. In addition to the RV sites and cabins, visitors can camp at any of the 10 dry tent sites.
While staying at the Jackson KOA campers have access to Wi-Fi, a heated pool, laundry open 24-hours, a playground and dog park. Other amenities campers can enjoy are the mini-golf course, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes and a convenience store. Aside from the park’s convenient location, there are other reasons to visit the Jackson KOA. The Jackson Speedway is a dirt track raceway that hosts races every weekend in the summer. After new owners took over in 2015 and underwent a three-phase improvement project attendance increased 35% this year for the Jackson Nationals held in June. The World of Outlaws, the stars of sprint car racing, was the main attraction. In addition, Fort Belmont is a unique re-creation of the civilian fort built by settlers in the early 1860s. This attraction and museum hosts tours daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Campers can also fish and water ski on nearby lakes and the Mall-of-America is only two hours away.
