Description
This is a large campground with 40 RV sites, 13 tent sites with a large bathhouse on 8.5 acres of wooded area. We are terraced on the hill side but the road and site areas are flat. We have a 3,000 square foot store with gas pumps, diesel and propane available. Inside the store we have a deli, hand dipped ice cream and a gift shop and inside sitting for our customers. Campers also register in the store - we have built a new after hours check in kiosk that could be used for checking campers in if you wanted to. The store sells a variety of groceries, fishing tackle and camping items - all the things you forget when you go camping.
We have a cement block bathhouse with two showers and two toilets for each men’s and women’s bathrooms. We also have a large laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers for our campers use.
On the property we have a large 40” x 50” wood structure that is currently rented to the local fire department for storage. This could be used for a meeting hall for campers if you wish.
There is a 400 square foot park model as living quarters. There is a 3 bedroom septic and electricity next to the store where you could build a home or bring in a mobile home.
We are on septic and well - we just replaced the well pump in June of 2015.
We are located on one of the State’s busiest scenic highways, Hwy 101, which runs through the Olympic National Park’s west entrance one mile from our campground. Olympic National Park is the 6th busiest National Parks. We are located across the street from Lake Sutherland, where you can fish and water ski. One mile west is also Lake Crescent which is located in the national park where you can hike, fish and boating. There are a lot of hikes located in the park, along with Sol Duc Hot Springs.
During the winter months, we are the only facility open for 30 miles west and 16 miles east of us. During the summer there are 2 lodges on Lake Crescent and a small store at the west entrance about 13 miles away, next to a large national park campground. We get a lot of business from the people staying at the high end lodges, vacation rentals and other campgrounds in the area.
