Marucs & Millichap is pleased to present the Horse Thief Campground & RV Resort located in the Black Hills of South Dakota, eleven miles west of Mount Rushmore and nine miles north of Crazy Horse Memorial. The Campground is also within proximity to hiking and biking trails, fishing, mountain climbing and more. Rapid City, the second largest city in South Dakota is located 40 minutes northeast of the campground. The resort provides immediate upside to a new owner with acreage for expansion of sites. Guests can stay at this seasonal campground in one of the many RV sites, cabins or tent sites.
The Campground itself provides campers with 68 RV sites, seven cabins and 30-plus tent sites. Of the 68 RV sites, 51 are full hook-up. Seventeen of these full hook-up sites are 50-am while 34 provide 30-amp service. There are 13 RV sites that are water/electric sites with 30-amp service and another four sites that are dry camping sites. In addition to the RV sites, the park provides guests with the option to stay in one of their 13 cabins. There is one full-service cabin equipped with its own linens, cookware and bathroom. There are 8 standard cabins that sleep four to five guests and two two-room cabins that can sleep up to eight. There are two small cabins that sleep three. All cabins provide heat/AC, electrical outlets and a small refrigerator. Of the 32 designated tenting areas, eight come equipped with 20-amp electric service with the remaining 24 providing a dry tent camping experience. Located on the park is a three bed/two bath manufactured home currently used for employee housing.
While there are many great activities for guests to visit when staying at Horse Thief Campground & RV Resort in the Black Hills, the campground also provides guests with several amenities. Campers have access to Wi-Fi, a heated swimming pool, a coin operated laundry facility, a playground, a basketball hoop and a horseshoes area. The park has a store with gifts and snacks, a picnic pavilion with gas grill for large groups, a clean bath house and each site provides guests with fire rings and tables.
