Lebanon History
Lebanon was originally named as Wyota and was inhabited by the Native Americans. Later on, it was renamed after Lebanon, Tennessee. The city is famous for its "magnetic" water, which was discovered in 1889. A worker found that his tools were magnetized by the water while digging a well. It was also believe that the magnetic waters had healing powers. Lebanon was the hometown of Missouri governor Phil M. Donnelly and dramatist Lanford Wilson.
