The Cedar Creek RV Park is a 73 site Campground located in Montrose, Colorado. Montrose is a city in western Colorado with a population just under 20,000 people. Montrose is located along the north-south thoroughfare US Route 550 that runs from Montrose down to Albuquerque. This scenic drive is called the Million Dollar Highway with many popular stops for travelers such as Ouray, Durango. The Montrose Regional Airport has daily commercial flights to and from Denver, Dallas, Houston and Chicago allowing easy access to the mountain town. Guests have the option to stay in RV sites on a nightly or monthly basis or in one of the seven different camping accommodations.
The Cedar Creek RV Park consists of 66 total RV sites. Of the 66 sites 45 are currently used for overnight and short-stay campers with the other 21 sites designated for monthly campers. Within the 45 short-term RV sites, 30 are full hookup pull-through sites while five are full hookup back-in sites. The 21 long-term sites are metered for electric and propane. If traveling through Montrose on a scenic adventure through Colorado, campers also have the option to stay at the park in one of seven different accommodations. The Creek-Side Cabin sleeps up to four with two twin beds in the loft and one queen bed on the main level. The Cabin has heat, a/c, electricity among other amenities. The Sugar Shack Trailer and Little Darlin’ Winnebago sleep two guests in a queen bed and provide electricity, a/c, TV, bedding and towels and a coffee maker. The Safari Tent is another accommodation at the park providing a full-size bed, microwave, coffee maker and bedding and towels. If guests are looking for more than the basics in their lodging choice, the Rustic Cabin, the Tiny House on the Creek or the Wheel Haus are great options. These cabins provide full bath with toilet and shower and kitchens Depending on the cabin, washer/dryer, king size bed and gas grill are other amenities. Lastly, the park can has capacity for tents or pop-up trailers as needed.
For owner and camper alike, Montrose offers every kind of outdoor Colorado activity imaginable. Climbing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting and camping in the summer while winter activities include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Areas near the park to explore include Black Canyon of the Gunnison only 20 minutes away. Grand Junction and Colorado National Monument are just over an hour drive north of the park and Ouray and Telluride are 45 minutes and an hour and half south of the park, respectively. While there are many activities to do in the area, the park has a newly built laundry room, convenience store, Wi-Fi and a locally known mini golf course.
