They Cheyenne KOA is a 72 site RV park in Cheyenne, Wyoming perfectly located off Interstate-80 and less than ten miles from the intersection of Interstate-80 and Interstate-25. With I-80 expanding from the west coast to the east coast across 11 states and I-25, a major north-to-south thoroughfare, running through Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico, Cheyenne is ideally located for travelers from all directions. After arrival, campers have the option to stay in RV sites, cabins or tent sites. The park also has three, three-bedroom two-bathroom mobile homes that can be used by a manager or rented out for additional income. Additionally, this park has approximately four acres offering a great opportunity for expansion.
This Journey KOA offers 45 total RV sites. Of the 45 sites, 28 are long pull through sites with 50-amp service, water, sewer, and cable tv. There are six long pull through sites with 50-amp service, water and cable TV and another six long pull through sites with 50 amp service and water. There are four long pull through sites with 30-amp service, water and cable TV. The last site is an extra-large back-in site with 50-amp service with water and sewer. Another way to enjoy the campground is one of the six camping cabins at the property. All six cabins sleep up to four guests with a bunk bed and a full bed. The cabins are furnished with A/C, heat and electricity and provide guests a fire ring with a grill and picnic table. The campground also offers 11 tent sites with 20-amp service and most have water on or near the site. If necessary, these sites can be used for tent trailers and pick up campers when needed. These tent sites are also equipped with fire rings. There is another are at the park for dry camping, approximately ten sites. Currently, the undeveloped acreage at the park is being used for daily RV storage to generate additional income.
While staying at the campground guests have access to wi-fi, cable TV, laundry facilities open 24 hours, a new playground put in in 2019 and half basketball court. Other amenities include a swimming pool, newly remodeled bathrooms in 2018 and 2019, dog park and mini golf. Beyond the fun amenities at the park for campers to enjoy, Cheyenne is a beautiful city with much to offer. The state capitol of Wyoming is host to Cheyenne Frontier Days, a 10-day festival named as the top festival in the nation by Livability.com in their annual Top 10 Summer Festivals. The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, Cheyenne Depot Museum and enjoyable night life are just a few other attractions of this lively city.
