2018 Class C Thor RV on Sprinter Chassis - Your Ultimate Adventure Companion! We bought our 2018 Thor Chateau new in November of 2017. It is well suited for a couple or a small family as with the slides out there is plenty of room to move about. A plus is that the bathroom can be reached with the Slides retracted making bathroom visits easy while on the road. Important features of this RV are: Low mileage: 22,650: with all maintenance done by Mercedes. The 20,000 mile service has been done including all recall work. Pioneer Entertainment System with Apple Play: we replaced the stock system with this unit as it provides touch screen access to all functions while adding Apple Play and a CD player. It also serves as a backup/tow vehicle camera monitor. Big Foot Automatic Leveling System: one button press and the system does the rest. We really love this addition as it eliminated using “tire lift blocks” and moving the RV back and forth to get the vehicle level. Second AC Unit: we found that traveling in the summer with high outside temperatures would exceed the capacity of the single 15000 BTU AC unit. We installed a second 13500 BTU unit in the bedroom which keeps this RV very cool. Second TV with Sound Bar in the bedroom: We like to watch DVD’s while in bed so we added a second 32 inch Samsung TV and Sound Bar. The DVD player is connected to both TV’s so you can watch TV from anywhere in the RV. Onan 3600 LP Generator: having a generator is a must if going off road. We had the generator included when we bought the RV, but since we don’t off road much it has less than 17 hours on it. 1800 Watt Inverter/dual batteries: our first attempt at dry camping showed us the need for a inverter. So we had a top-of-the-line 1800 watt Xantrex Sine Wave Inverter installed. We also had a new set of batteries installed at the same time. Fan-Tastic Vent: we had this variable speed power vent installed at purchase. It allows you to quickly bring in fresh air throughout the RV using a remote control. Tire Pressure Monitoring System: this system allows for real time monitoring of up to 26 tires including the tow car USB/120V Plugs: we installed a three USB port/two 120V plugs between the cup holders in the Dinette table greatly improving access to these functions.
