Description

Our first 4 years with our Forester were spent as summer campground hosts at Northwest Passage campground, a primitive (no hook-ups) site in Ponderosa State Park, Idaho. It was a perfect dry camping type motorhame for this, with a comfortable spacious interior, good fresh/black/grey water capacity and plenty of exterior and interior storage. We have also traveled to various places in the west while towing our motorcycles and on other occasions a small tow car. The motorhome handled the towing beautifully and was always easy and comfortable for myself and my wife to drive. It has been our luxury elk camping rig allowing us to sleep in comfort in the queen sized bed, and stay warm and cozy with the efficient propane forced air heater on the cold fall mornings.
This wonderful RV has very low mileage (19,000 mi), and is in very good condition, having had regular yearly engine maintainence (oil changes, lube, and filters). The tires were rotated and checked for wear and are good for approxamately 10,000 additional miles. The 4 slides are in good working order and slide gaskets have all been inspected and treated with silicon lubricant. The shower and bedroom skylights have been replaced this year.
We replaced the original couch/bed in the starboard slide with two cozy leather recliners. The trims on all four slides were made of 1/2" M.D.F press board and were prone to breakage with regular use. I replaced them with Eastern white pine, which is very light but quite durable. Rather than try to match the stain on the cabinets, we opted to paint them a rich dark red in the living area, and a sage green in the bedroom.
We installed two 80 watt solar panels on the roof the first year we had it. There is an extra connection capability with 20 ' of wire. The house battery is 2 years old. The refrigerator is an AC/Propane. The awning was showing wear and needed to be replaced so we ordered an upgrade replacement fabric awning which is included, but still needs to be installed.
During the winter months we store it in a non-snowy environment.
We have really enjoyed this motorhome. We bought it from a dealer brand new and have been the sole owners. It has carried us through many memorable journeys and we have been grateful to have it. It has been dependable and very functional. We hope the new owners will have as much enjoyment and adventures as we have. Journey on!
