We bought this camper new after experiencing a cross country road trip in a popup camper, because that trip confirmed that we are a camping family! We looked through the many different models, and eventually chose this Forest River 178bhsk because the double bunks and queen Murphy bed gave everyone in our family of 5 a 'permanent' bed that didn't have to be set up and broken down every day. Also important to us was having an full size refrigerator and freezer, and lots of storage areas that we could load up days before starting our trip. We were impressed that it had a bathroom with a shower, the deep farm style sink, slide out which gives a spacious eating space, and the outdoor grill and refrigerator. Incredible the number of features packed into a travel trailer that we could tow with our 6 cylinder GMC Acadia! We have made some wonderful memories as a family in it travelling cross country to see the Grand Canyon and National Parks in Utah, which was a bucket list item for us. After a number of great trips, we've entered that season we knew was coming, when our kids start driving, working, and are busy with sports, music, friends, etc., which has closed the chapter of long family camping trips for us. But, my wife and I also know that before long we'll be empty nesters, which gives us the opportunity to look for different camper in the future.
We know that this camper will provide a place for another family to create great memories together!
