1961 Vintage 16 Ft (Ham Can) Airstream-Shasta-Scotty. NO it's a COMET Travel Trailer. Talk of the Campground. Clean Fl. Title in Hand. Loving care with all details as we thought we it would be ours forever~ Frame up restoration starting with 10 ply tires, frame undercoating, new insulation and wiring, has fantastic electrical system already wired for solar and AC/DC use with inverter. Gray woodgrain vinyl flooring looks great against New wood and trim fresh white interior. NEW countertop, sink and range-top, underneath on-demand gas hot water system (Nice) Large electric refrigerator 2 years old, doesn’t run on gas. Gas furnace keeps camper toasty, and New A/C cools it off on hot summer days. New leveling jacks are sweet, up and down with torque wrench makes easy set up! New toilet and showerhead provide some comforts of home in this cozy set up, outside shower keeps a lot of dirt out, great for the beach. New bed frame extends from twin to queen, New mattress providing a great night sleep, new Visio TV for that late night viewing. New quiet Fantastic Roof Fan with forward and reverse speeds provides excellent ventilation. UNIQUE wrap around front window and back windows newly replaced, we though CUSTOM front tinted windows added a fabulous look to the old girl. Recovered dinette cushions with new storage tops fold into a bed. Twin LP tanks replace the single tank that originally came with it, providing extra fuel for that longer stay, down to the bare aluminum then we taped off the original Comet stripe for a new paint job. We were never able to locate any pictures of 1961 Comet. Have added a link which contains pictures and history of manufacturing of Comet models, from the Tin Can Tourist.
