Description
This 4x4 camper van has been our get-away basecamp for many years. No need to stay in crowded campgrounds or hotels! My wife and I converted this van into a camper with all the amenities to make life in the backcountry very comfortable. Off-grid for weeks at a time is possible with this setup. It has a 4x4 conversion by Advanced 4WD Systems in Salt Lake City. It has manual locking hubs and a transfer case with low range. This comes in very handy when trying to reach those hard to get to, awe inspiring camping spots. The off-road abilities of this van have amazed me many times. The shorter wheelbase, clearance and low power range make it unstoppable. The attached pictures show features and details. The van is set up with a 20lb propane bottle that can easily be swapped out with a full bottle at most gas stations. The propane feeds a RV heater and a two-burner stove top. Two deep cycle batteries supply power for the heater fan, 3.2 cu ft refrigerator and water pump. There’s a 10-gallon water tank which can be removed during winter months. Most of our camping was done in winter because we like ski. Nothing like waking up in the parking lot of your favorite ski area with a couple of feet of new snow, 1st in line every time. The insulated blackout covers for all windows keeps the heat in and the light out for those rare occasions when a Walmart parking lot overnight stay is necessary. They also add to the stealth camping advantages this van provides. For hot summer nights there are screens for all openings for free air movement. I could go on about the features and advantages of this lifestyle enabling vehicle, but its best to contact me and we'll chat.
